Staying Afloat
The pace in our whole health group was quite slow this morning. While we did manage to get Daisy out of her kennel, she was grazing on everything in sight as we moved through the field. As Daisy munched on a dried burdock stem, she explained to us that she was trying to acclimatize her stomache to the food that would be available after the apocalypse. She figures her food choices will range from dead plant material to bugs if she is lucky. As Daisy strips the bark off a branch like she is eating a cob of corn, I warn her to stop this nonsense as the neighbourhood porcupine is getting very irate that she is eating all of his food. No, no, no, chimes in Austin. Don't slow her down. I need Daisy to keep her weight up. Apparently Austin's raft plans include using Daisy as a buoyancy tube.
Too funny Martha! thanks for cheering up my day :)
