Getting to Know the Neighbours
On our walk this morning, Austin suddenly exploded with excitment. "It's a baby beaver!", he exclaimed. "Look at that cute little baby beaver. Lets ask him if he wants to join our Whole Health Group".
Before I can stop him, he bounds over to extend his invitation. Austin gets brought up quite short when the 'baby beaver' turns, flicks his cigarette butt into the bushes and says in a low gravelly voice, "I am not a beaver and I am not healthy."
Austin's spirits were considerably dampened for the rest of our walk. Not so with Daisy. She enthusiastically begged a smoke off the muskrat.
