BIG Scary Rose

"Isn't that the dogs' bed?" I ask Rose during circle time.
"WAS the dogs' bed," Rose growled back at me.
"She scares me," Austin whispers in my ear. "And now that she is twice her size, she really really scares me!"
"You know what really scares me," I whisper to Austin. "How did she get to be twice her size? It seemed to just happen overnight. Is it something in our water?" I ask in a whisper. "I am really really afraid I am going to wake up one morning twice my size!"
"You do know I can hear every word you are saying" Rose grumbles at us from her soft perch on the dogs' bed.
"I think I just wet myself" Austin whispers.
"Me too" I whisper back.
